TIE - Technology Infused Education

TIE is Technology Infused Education. Specifically, the purpose of this site is multifaceted in nature and designed to benefit students, teachers, administrators, cooperative personnel and the ADE (Arkansas Department of Education).

Benefits of TIE:

• A consistent system for delivery that will clear up licensure and compliance issues.
• A Web based system that will be user friendly for trainers and participants alike.
• Common language and understanding across the state in regard to technology.
• Increased understanding and integration by teachers and students alike.
• Aligned to the ISTE Standards.

Our Professional Development modules were specifically designed to increase integration of technology in the classroom.

A statewide EETT grant was written to fund a technology cadre that does training at local service centers. Each service center recommended two teachers to become cadre members. The cadre receives training on content, presentation skills and networking opportunities. All technology modules are developed by teachers for teachers. These project based modules ensure consistency in technology offerings statewide. Modules are housed on the TIE website along with discussion boards, lesson plans or exemplary projects.
